Role Description:

We are looking for a motivated and technically minded Sales Engineer with a background in Civil Engineering to support the sales and technical application of geotextile and geosynthetic solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to recommend suitable products, prepare quotations, and develop new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities with contractors, consultants, developers, and other relevant customers.

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with government agencies, particularly Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) and Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran (JPS), existing and potential clients.

• Promote geotextile and geosynthetic products and recommend suitable technical solutions based on project requirements.

• Understand project drawings, specifications, and technical requirements to support product selection and proposals.

• Prepare quotations, technical submissions, product presentations, and other sales-related documents.

• Follow up on quotations, tenders, and customer enquiries to secure sales opportunities.

• Conduct client visits, site visits, and product presentations when required.

• Coordinate with the operations team to check stock availability and arrange timely product delivery.

• Follow up on customer feedback, product quality issues, and delivery matters, coordinating with the relevant teams to resolve them.

• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential business opportunities.

• Achieve assigned sales targets and maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer enquiries, and project opportunities.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

• 1–2 years of working experience in sales engineering, technical sales, construction, or a related industry.

• Basic understanding of civil engineering, construction methods, and project drawings.

• Good communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to learn new products and technical applications.

• Able to work independently and collaboratively with internal teams.

• Possess own transport and willing to travel to project sites.
