岗位职责

We empower our people to stay resilient and relevant in a constantly changing world. We’re looking for people who are always searching for creative ways to grow and learn. People who want to make a real impact, now and in the future. Does that sound like you? Then it seems like you’d make a great addition to our vibrant international team as a Senior Project Procurement Specialist.

You’ll create impact by:

  • Defining project-specific procurement strategies aligned with customer requirements, contract conditions, and local vs. global sourcing options, while evaluating sourcing models (e.g., local manufacturing, bonded zone, global sourcing) and participating in the bid phase to shape a competitive supply chain concept.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and selecting qualified suppliers for materials, systems, and services through RFQ/eRFx methodologies, negotiating prices, terms & conditions (T&Cs), and delivery schedules to maximize value from third-party spend and global supply markets.
  • Driving cost competitiveness through supplier competition, value engineering (design-to-cost), and optimization of logistics and duties (e.g., SST, VAT, import duty structuring), supporting target costing during the bid phase and cost tracking during execution.
  • Ensuring complete compliance across all procurement activities with customer contract requirements, Siemens procurement policies, and regulatory mandates (e.g., MIDA, local content rules), while supporting supplier contract negotiations and maintaining documentation for certifications, compliance reporting, and audits.
  • Managing end-to-end procurement execution and risk mitigation, aligning closely with Project Managers/CPMs and Engineering teams to ensure smooth technical clarifications, reliable supplier performance, and on-time delivery.
  • Acting as the central interface between procurement and project stakeholders including Sales/Tendering, CPM/PM, Engineering, and Finance, to ensure clear roles, alignment, cost/margin steering, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Tracking procurement performance metrics, managing supplier evaluations, reporting key insights, and ensuring effective knowledge sharing across project teams for continuous improvement.

Your defining qualities:

  • Educational Background: Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Industry Experience: Extensive experience in project procurement, sourcing, and supply chain management within project-driven industries such as energy, infrastructure, electrification, automation, or EPC environments.
  • Domain & Technical Understanding: Strong familiarity with industrial automation, electrification systems (substations, E-House, data centers), and complex project business requirements (engineering interfaces, certifications, and testing).
  • Commercial & Negotiation Acumen: Strong commercial mindset focused on cost, margin, and cash, backed by proven expertise in contract management, negotiation of T&Cs, and value/cost engineering methodologies.
  • Tool & System Proficiency: Practical working knowledge of eSourcing tools (eRFQ, eRFI), enterprise procurement systems (such as SAP), and cost-modeling frameworks.
  • Stakeholder & Collaborative Skills: Outstanding stakeholder influencing, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills to align diverse technical and commercial teams.
  • Execution & Risk Competencies: Proven ability to manage risk mitigation effectiveness, compliance adherence, purchase price variances, and supplier quality performance across fast-paced project lifecycles.

What we offer:

  • Flexible mobile working policy that allows for time off for you to recharge and spend more time with your loved ones in Malaysia.
  • Attractive compensation and benefits.
  • Values-driven work culture with inclusive workplace policies and practices that prioritize diversity and inclusion.
