Renewable Energy Consultant

Position Overview

Straits Bio-LNG Pte Ltd is looking for a Renewable Energy Consultant to support the development, evaluation and implementation of renewable and lower-carbon energy solutions. Based in Singapore, this role will involve assessing energy opportunities, preparing technical and commercial information, coordinating with stakeholders, and supporting projects related to cleaner energy and sustainable fuel solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess renewable energy and low-carbon energy opportunities based on project requirements, technical considerations and commercial factors.
• Conduct research on renewable energy technologies, energy markets, regulations, industry developments and potential project opportunities.
• Prepare feasibility assessments, project proposals, presentations, reports and other documents for internal and external use.
• Review project requirements and help evaluate technical, operational and commercial considerations.
• Support the development of energy solutions that improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
• Collect, analyse and organise energy, operational and market data to support project evaluation and decision-making.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, technical parties and other relevant stakeholders during project discussions and implementation.
• Assist with project planning, follow-up activities, documentation and progress tracking.
• Monitor relevant developments in Singapore's energy and environmental regulations and assess their potential impact on projects.
• Support business development activities by identifying potential opportunities and maintaining professional communication with prospective customers and partners.
• Work with internal teams to ensure project information, technical requirements and commercial considerations are properly coordinated.
• Carry out other reasonable duties related to renewable energy and sustainable energy projects as required.

What You Should Bring

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Renewable Energy, Environmental Engineering, Energy Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in renewable energy, energy consulting, energy management, engineering, sustainability or a related industry is preferred.
• Good understanding of renewable energy, clean energy or energy transition concepts.
• Ability to analyse information and prepare clear reports, proposals and presentations.
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable handling multiple project tasks and following up on deadlines and deliverables.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Candidates who are practical, organised and willing to learn about emerging energy technologies are encouraged to apply.

Working Approach

This position requires a combination of analytical work, project coordination and communication with external parties. The consultant should be comfortable working independently on assigned tasks while keeping relevant team members informed of project progress, issues and requirements.

The role may involve site visits, customer meetings and discussions with project partners when required.

Pay: $5,000.00 - $7,000.00 per month
