Product Solution Engineer – EV Charging

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Malaysia & Indonesia

Position Summary

The Product Solution Engineer is responsible for developing and delivering technical solutions for EV charging projects. The role works closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Project teams to understand customer requirements and provide technically feasible, commercially viable, and compliant solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse customer requirements and develop appropriate EV charging solutions.
• Design and configure AC/DC EV charging systems based on project requirements.
• Prepare technical proposals, system specifications, BOMs, and tender/RFP documentation.
• Provide technical support to Sales and Business Development teams throughout the sales cycle.
• Conduct site assessments and review electrical drawings, SLDs, layouts, and technical specifications.
• Support customer presentations, product demonstrations, and technical discussions.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Product, and Project teams to ensure successful solution implementation.
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and project execution when required.
• Support integration requirements involving OCPP, CMS, EMS, APIs, and other related systems.
• Identify technical risks and recommend appropriate solutions or mitigation measures.
• Keep updated on EV charging technologies, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and market developments.
• Provide market and customer feedback to support product enhancement and solution development.
• Undertake regional or international travel for customer meetings, site visits, exhibitions, and project activities as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in solution engineering, technical presales, electrical engineering, system integration, or a related field.
• Experience in EV charging, energy management, renewable energy, or power systems will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of AC/DC EV charging infrastructure and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of OCPP, charging management systems, EMS, or system integration is an advantage.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, SLDs, technical specifications, and project requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel regionally or internationally when required.
