Job Summary

The Site Engineer (Building) supports the Site Agent by monitoring site progress and managing manpower to ensure timely, quality construction delivery.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and review the master construction program and develop catch-up programs to maintain project timelines.
• Supervise engineers and foremen to ensure adherence to quality procedures and workmanship standards.
• Inspect subcontractors’ work for quality and quantity compliance.
• Prepare detailed site programs for team execution to meet deadlines.
• Identify and resolve drawing discrepancies and technical issues in collaboration with the Technical team.
• Develop detailed method statements and work instructions to guide construction activities.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments to manage site manpower, materials, and equipment demands aligned with schedules.
• Liaise with Consultants and the Technical Department on submissions related to structural works.
• Plan site activities including scheduling, construction methods, and forecasting equipment, material, and manpower needs while controlling usage and minimizing wastage.
• Enforce adherence to workplace safety practices.
• Apply technical expertise in Foundation, Structural, and Building works to support site operations.
• Utilize Microsoft Project to manage and track project schedules effectively.
• Apply knowledge of method statements to ensure proper construction procedures.
