FinOps Solution Architect — Malaysia

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced FinOps Solution Architect to design and implement cloud financial management solutions across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP. The role will bridge cloud architecture, finance, and business teams to optimize cloud costs, improve financial visibility, and establish FinOps best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement FinOps operating models, processes, and governance frameworks.
• Architect solutions for cloud cost optimization, budgeting, forecasting, allocation, and chargeback/showback.
• Analyze cloud spending and identify opportunities for cost reduction and resource optimization.
• Work with Cloud, DevOps, Engineering, Finance, and Procurement teams to establish FinOps practices.
• Implement cost allocation, tagging, account/subscription structures, and financial reporting.
• Develop dashboards and KPIs for cloud spend, unit economics, utilization, and savings.
• Drive initiatives such as rightsizing, Reserved Instances/Savings Plans, commitment management, autoscaling, and workload optimization.
• Define architecture standards for multi-cloud/hybrid-cloud financial management.
• Automate FinOps processes using APIs, scripts, Terraform, Python, PowerShell, or similar technologies.
• Support governance, compliance, and cloud financial controls.
• Present recommendations and cost optimization roadmaps to senior stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in cloud, solution architecture, infrastructure, DevOps, IT financial management, or related areas.
• Strong experience with AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud.
• Good understanding of FinOps Framework and cloud economics.
• Experience with cloud billing and cost-management tools such as:
• AWS Cost Explorer / Cost & Usage Reports
• Azure Cost Management
• Google Cloud Billing
• CloudHealth, Apptio, Cloudability, or similar tools
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, compute, storage, databases, networking, and cloud architecture.
• Experience with Terraform/IaC and automation.
• Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder-management, and communication skills.

• FinOps Certified Practitioner / FinOps Certified Professional
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Google Professional Cloud Architect
• ITIL / TOGAF is a plus
