Stock counting
Carry out daily cycle counts and scheduled full stock takes.
Check physical stock against the warehouse management system (WMS) or inventory records.
Discrepancy reporting
Investigate variances between physical and system stock.
Prepare clear discrepancy reports with quantities, SKUs, locations and likely causes.
Follow up on corrective actions and update records once resolved.
Picking and packing
Pick orders accurately from pick lists or handheld scanners.
Meet daily dispatch cut-off times and accuracy targets.
Cargo inspection
Inspect inbound shipments against purchase orders, delivery orders and packing lists.
Check outbound cargo for correct quantity, condition and labelling before dispatch.
