ROLE MISSION
To create attractive, brand-consistent packaging and visual materials that make our toys stand out on the shelf and appeal to consumers, while meeting safety, legal and production requirements for global markets.
ROLE SUMMARY
This role manages the complete packaging design process, from initial concept and structural design through to final print-ready artwork.
You will design colour boxes, window boxes, blister cards and display structures for a wide range of toy products. You will also support e-commerce and marketing visuals.
You will work closely with Product Designers, Merchandisers and overseas Brand and Project Management teams to turn product ideas into attractive, production-ready packaging.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design brand-consistent toy packaging, including colour boxes, window boxes, blister cards and counter/display structures.
Create and amend accurate packaging die-lines and structural concepts. Develop creative, child-friendly packaging features.
Design custom logos, character graphics, decorative elements and labels to support product stories and brand identity.
Prepare clear, easy-to-understand and safety-compliant instruction manuals and leaflets.
Prepare final print-ready artwork, paying close attention to colour management, bleeds, trapping and colour separation for different printing methods.
Review colour proofs and carry out final quality checks on packaging materials before mass production.
Work with cross-functional teams to apply global entertainment property style guides and licensing requirements to attractive, on-brand packaging.
Carry out basic product photography, photo retouching and simple 3D renderings to support packaging and marketing needs.
Create visual materials for e-commerce product listings, web banners and social media when required.
Report to the Design Manager and work within a design team of around 10 members.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Tertiary education in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, Visual Communication or a related field.
At least 5 years of graphic design experience. Experience in toys, entertainment products or FMCG is highly preferred.
Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
Strong knowledge of CMYK colour, typography, paper materials and complex structural packaging.
Toy packaging experience is essential. Experience with toy vehicles or model cars is an advantage.
Knowledge of 3D rendering software, such as KeyShot, Rhino or Blender, is a strong advantage.
Able to design packaging that inspires children while remaining attractive to parents and retailers.
Good communication skills in English. Cantonese and/or Mandarin is an advantage.
