We’re looking for a Senior Alibaba Cloud Architect to lead the architecture, security and reliability of a high-traffic, public-facing mobile platform serving users at national scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and lead end-to-end Alibaba Cloud architecture for scalable, high-availability applications.
• Own cloud security architecture, including IAM, network security, encryption, WAF, Anti-DDoS and zero-trust principles.
• Implement security-by-design, DevSecOps, threat modelling and vulnerability remediation.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysia PDPA 2010, Cyber Security Act 2024 and ISO 27001 requirements.
• Lead disaster recovery, performance optimisation, monitoring and cloud cost management.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, security and client stakeholders on technical decisions and delivery.

What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud or platform engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience designing and managing production workloads on Alibaba Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of ECS, ACK/Kubernetes, ApsaraDB, VPC, RAM, KMS, WAF, Anti-DDoS and other core Alibaba Cloud services.
• Proven experience architecting high-availability, internet-facing platforms at scale.
• Strong cloud security expertise, including SOC/SIEM integration, VAPT remediation and OWASP API security.
• Experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Alibaba Cloud ACP/ACE certification, particularly ACP Security.
• CISSP, CCSP or CCSK certification.
