As a Maintenance Officer, you will play a key role in overseeing the maintenance and operation of the hotel’s building systems, mechanical equipment, and facilities. You will coordinate preventive maintenance programmes, supervise technical staff, manage repair works, and ensure all facilities operate safely and efficiently. The role also involves in maintenance planning, contractor management, and daily engineering operations to maintain high standards of service and minimize disruption to hotel guests.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair of the hotel’s building systems, mechanical equipment, and facilities.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Lead troubleshooting and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring technical issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
• Supervise technicians, allocate workloads, monitor performance, and ensure maintenance tasks are completed according to established standards.
• Coordinate external contractors and service providers, monitor work progress, and ensure repairs and servicing meet the required quality and safety standards.
• Monitor maintenance costs, equipment performance, and spare parts inventory to support cost control and efficient resource utilization.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, operational procedures, and hotel maintenance standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, equipment servicing logs, and other relevant documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance procedures, reduce equipment downtime, and enhance the overall efficiency of hotel facilities.

What We’re Looking For

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in building maintenance, with a strong mechanical background.
• A certificate or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management, or a related field is an advantage.
• Proven ability to supervise technical teams, coordinate contractors, and manage maintenance activities.
• Strong technical troubleshooting, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of building systems, mechanical equipment, preventive maintenance, and workplace safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and support management in daily engineering operations.
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
