Role Description The Junior Purchaser role is a full-time, on-site position based Singapore. In this role, the Junior Purchaser supports the purchasing team by sourcing marine-related products, obtaining and comparing quotations, and placing purchase orders in line with company guidelines. Daily tasks include coordinating with suppliers, tracking delivery schedules, and updating internal systems with accurate order and inventory information. The Junior Purchaser also assists in resolving order discrepancies, communicating with internal stakeholders on procurement status, and maintaining organized purchasing records. The position requires close collaboration with warehouse, logistics, and operations teams to ensure timely and cost-effective supply to vessels and clients.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic procurement tasks, including sourcing, quotation comparison, and purchase order creation.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple orders, maintain records, and track delivery timelines.
• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with suppliers, internal teams, and external partners.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, documentation, and inventory-related information.
• Basic numeracy and analytical skills for cost comparison and budget-conscious purchasing decisions.
• Proficiency with common office software (e.g., spreadsheets, email, ERP or inventory systems is an advantage).
• Ability to adapt a fast-paced marine supply environment.
• Prior experience in purchasing, logistics, or marine supply is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Relevant diploma or equivalent qualification in supply chain, business, or a related field is preferred.
