About the role

The Trade Lane Analyst will support the growth, profitability, and operational excellence of the Asia to Brazil trade lane. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, commercial awareness, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced logistics environment. This role will be responsible for monitoring market trends, supporting pricing and carrier decisions, driving operational performance, and ensuring seamless communication between commercial, operations, carriers, agents, and business owners.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse freight market trends, carrier developments, capacity movements, and rate fluctuations on the Asia-Brazil trade lane
• Support pricing strategy through market intelligence, margin analysis, and competitive benchmarking
• Monitor carrier contract utilization and recommend corrective actions to maximize allocations and profitability
• Provide recommendations on carrier selection, routing options, transit times, and service reliability
• Identify opportunities to improve revenue, margins, and customer retention
• Maintain knowledge of carrier contracts, surcharges, terms and conditions, and service offerings
• Support basic carrier negotiations and assist in securing competitive rates and space solutions
• Act as a bridge between Commercial and Operations teams to ensure customer commitments are executed effectively
• Monitor booking status, cargo rollovers, documentation milestones, and service performance
• Drive faster and more accurate responses to agents, customers, and business owners

About you

• Hands-on experience in the Asia-Brazil trade lane
• Solid understanding of ocean freight operations, carrier contracts, and shipping line negotiations
