Job Description: Systems Analyst (Java)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Systems Analyst (Java) to gather and analyse business requirements, design and develop application systems, and support the implementation and maintenance of enterprise and web-based applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse user requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
• Perform systems analysis, application and database design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
• Develop and enhance Java-based web applications using relevant frameworks and technologies.
• Troubleshoot system issues, conduct quality assurance, and ensure application performance and reliability.
• Coordinate with users, project teams, and vendors to support project delivery and system implementation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in systems analysis, design, database design, development, implementation, and quality assurance.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, and web application development using frameworks such as PrimeFaces, React, Angular, or equivalent.
• Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL Server, DB2, or Oracle, and persistence frameworks such as Hibernate or JPA.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, XML, AJAX, JSF, REST/SOAP web services, and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Familiarity with Eclipse IDE, web servers, testing tools, Windows, AWS, or mainframe environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, project management, and vendor management skills.
• Ability to work independently in gathering requirements and translating them into application specifications.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) and Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE).
• Familiarity with COBOL, CICS, DB2, MVS, and JCL in a mainframe environment.
• -Knowledge of Responsive Web Design, Service Component Architecture (SCA), and Web Services for Remote Portlets (WSRP).

Additional Information

Employment Type: Contract

Location: Central Region, Singapore

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Work Arrangement: Hybrid / Onsite

Salary Range: SGD 6,000 – 7,800 per month (with variable bonus)
