About the Role

We're looking for a Software Lead to shape and deliver secure, resilient, and high-performing digital solutions that support public sector transformation. You'll lead and mentor a team of engineers, uphold engineering excellence, and build systems that serve the broader community.

This role suits technologists who are skilled in fullstack development and system design, and who enjoy guiding others and driving meaningful outcomes. You'll work closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to make sure every solution is robust, scalable, and impactful.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of developers to deliver high-impact digital solutions
• Architect and design fullstack systems with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability
• Develop and review robust RESTful APIs that meet security and performance standards
• Champion secure coding practices and DevSecOps principles across the software development lifecycle
• Oversee CI/CD pipeline setup and integrate quality assurance into DevSecOps workflows
• Collaborate with business analysts, UI/UX designers, and infrastructure engineers
• Ensure alignment with cloud best practices (AWS or Azure) for deployment, monitoring, and maintenance
• Deliver systems that integrate with government authentication services (e.g., Singpass, Corppass) and meet public sector compliance standards
• Support project planning, estimation, and risk management
• (Bonus) Lead or contribute to systems that integrate with IoT platforms and devices

Requirements

• At least 6 years of hands-on development experience, including 2–3 years leading software teams or projects
• Strong proficiency in fullstack development (frontend and backend)
• Proven expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs
• Solid knowledge of secure coding practices and experience with DevSecOps toolchains
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Experience delivering systems for the government sector, especially those involving integration with government authentication services
• Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with IoT system integration and data processing
