Procurement Operations Support Specialist

Location: Seberang Perai Selatan, Pulau Pinang - Only locally available candidates within Malaysia - No relocation assistance will be provided

Duties and Responsibilities

·     Support Purchase Order execution based on Oracle / SAP MRP Purchase Requisitions, including PO creation, updates, and supplier confirmation

·     Support sourcing activities which are assigned by the category manager. eg data collection and maintaining in Oracle or SAP 

·     Assist in monitoring supplier delivery performance and follow up on shipments to ensure on‑time delivery

·     Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve material supply issues, including delivery changes, shipment holds, and logistics-related matters

·     Support resolution of material exceptions, such as shortages, quality issues, and alternative sourcing scenarios

·     Assist in demand and supply alignment by reviewing planning reports (e.g., DSI) to identify shortages, excess, and supply risks

·     Support communication of forecast and demand signals to suppliers for capacity planning

·     Help manage inventory health, including dead stock, slow-moving, and expiring materials

·     Support initiatives to minimize excess inventory and improve inventory turnover

·     Assist in resolving transactional issues, including goods receipt (GR), documentation mismatches, and pricing discrepancies

·     Support data tracking and reporting, including PO backlog, delivery status, and inventory-related metrics

·     Other tasks assigned by the Purchasing Manager or the Category Manager.

Position Requirements and Desired Skills

·     Bachelor’s degree in a related field

·     3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, MRP/buyer, or sourcing support; EMS or electronics industry experience preferred 

·     Good command of MS Office software, including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, etc.

·     Experience of using ERP systems like Oracle or SAP and Procurement related reports

·     Strong analytical skills with the ability to compare and track reporting benefits 

·     Proactive, self-motivated and a good team player.
