We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to develop advanced surgical solutions. In this role you will combine strong anatomical and clinical knowledge with CAD expertise and AI-driven design methods to create precise, high-quality devices that support effective surgical planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize CAD and design software to produce detailed 3D models, assemblies, and production-ready drawings.
- Apply AI techniques (generative design, image-to-model workflows, optimization algorithms, or machine-learning-assisted design) to enhance efficiency and design quality.
- Collaborate with clinical specialists, manufacturing partners, and cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet clinical, regulatory, and usability requirements.
- Perform design verification, risk analysis, and iterative refinement based on clinical feedback.
- Maintain rigorous design control documentation in a regulated environment.
Required Qualifications
- Solid background in medical or anatomical knowledge, including understanding of surgical workflows, anatomy, and clinical imaging interpretation.
- Proficiency in professional CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Blender, Fusion 360, NX, or equivalent) and related design tools.
- Demonstrated capability or strong aptitude in applying AI methods to design processes (generative design, automated model generation, optimization, or data-driven design).
- Master’s degree or PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a closely related field (strongly preferred).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
