Our client in the facility services sector is seeking a Trainer to support the rollout of a globally standardised training and certification programme across Southeast Asia. Reporting to the Global Training Manager, you will deliver training, coach site leaders and strengthen workforce competency across sites in Malaysia, Singapore and the wider region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instructor-led training, workshops, onboarding sessions, certification events and practical assessments covering technical, operational, safety, quality and operational excellence modules
• Apply adult-learning techniques to engage participants, and conduct train-the-trainer sessions to build sustainable local delivery capability
• Support the rollout of globally developed training frameworks, curricula, certification pathways and learning materials across sites in Malaysia, Singapore and other assigned locations
• Ensure consistent use of approved content, delivery methods and assessment standards, and provide implementation feedback to support continuous improvement of learning content
• Promote operational excellence, standardised work and continuous improvement through training and field coaching
• Participate in site observations, assessments and operational reviews to identify training needs and performance gaps, partnering with site leadership to sustain improved practices
• Conduct knowledge checks, practical evaluations, skills assessments and certification activities, and recommend coaching, refresher training or reassessment where required
• Maintain accurate training records, attendance data, assessment results and certification evidence in approved learning systems
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, EHS, Quality, HR and subject matter experts to deliver workforce capability objectives
• Gather learner and stakeholder feedback, report on deployment progress, risks and improvement opportunities, and support communications on training requirements and schedules
• Support the development of training materials, practical exercises and assessment tools, and assist with preparation of training facilities, equipment and demonstrations
• Respond to operational needs outside normal working hours where required
• Travel regionally for more than 50% of the time, with occasional global travel

Requirements:

• Diploma or Associate’s degree in Engineering, Technical Operations, Facilities Management, Training & Development or a related discipline (equivalent experience considered)
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, high-tech manufacturing or critical facility environments
• Experience delivering technical, operational, safety or workforce development training
• Experience coaching, mentoring or assessing technical personnel
• Working knowledge of competency management, certification processes and adult-learning principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and learning management systems
• Willingness to travel extensively within the region
• Preferred: a recognised training, coaching or assessor qualification
• Preferred: understanding of standardised work methodologies
• Preferred: experience supporting multi-site or multinational organisations
• Preferred: experience developing practical exercises and competency assessments
