At least Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, certificate of safety and health officer organized by NIOSH or other education institution recognized by DOSH.

Registered with DOSH as Safety Officer (Valid SHO Registration with DOSH).

Minimum two (2) years’ experience with safety and health matter.

Develop, establish, and review the workplace safety management policies and standard for all  the operating sites to ensure that it is always following relevant statutory requirements.

Identify potential risk safety; track safety & health performance indicators and trends and ensure  compliance with OSHA.

Establish, liaise with client to maintain overall policies, and procedures and ensure the safety of  operating all machines and equipment in the plant.

Conduct and lead safety and health committee meetings regularly to ensure management and  employees are aware of hazards.

Advise the employer, EHS Committee Chairperson or any person in charge of the workplace on  measures to be taken in the interest of safety.

Investigate any accident, near miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning, or  occupational disease.

Assist the company in COVID-19 management including workplace and hostel inspection, policy  development and provide support on task assigned.

Control, monitor, enforce, implement & improve Safety, Health & Environmental related matters  with respect to departmental occupational Safety & Health Malaysia requirements.

Inspect the workplace to determine if machinery, plant, equipment, substances, appliance, and  process at the workplace are safe for the work environment.

Participates in the review of site facility layouts, designs, modifications regarding life safety  requirements, applicable codes, regulations, and Equipment/Tool EHS requirements.

Develops, plans, and implements site environmental, health and safety procedures/programs  and ensure alignment with corporate EHS Polices, goals, objectives, and customer requirement.

Responsible to update any new regulation announced by ministry or authorities relating to safety  and health that are complying with the company’s safety and health management system.

Submit accurate regulatory and performance metric reports as required including but not limited  to JKKP6, JKKP8, CIMS.

Any ad-hoc assignments and other related tasks assigned by Management / immediate superior.
