We’re looking to add a Process Engineer. The position is based in our site at Senai, Johor.

As a Process Engineer, you will: Develop, implement, monitor, and continuously improve manufacturing processes to achieve optimum productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency while supporting production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to meet business and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

Process Development & Improvement

1. Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify improvement opportunities.
2. Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
3. Optimize cycle time, throughput, and labor productivity.
4. Eliminate waste and reduce non-value-added activities.

Production Support

1. Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and process-related defects.
2. Work closely with production teams to resolve daily operational problems.
3. Support new product introduction (NPI) and production ramp-up activities.
4. Ensure smooth production flow and line balancing.

Quality Improvement

1. Investigate process failures and customer complaints.
2. Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using established problem-solving methodologies.

1. Develop corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Process Documentation

1. Create and maintain manufacturing process documentation.

• SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
• Work Instructions
• Process Flow Charts
• PFMEA
• Control Plans
• Process Parameters and Specifications

Equipment & Tooling Management

1. Define equipment requirements.
2. Support installation, qualification, and validation of new machines.
3. Improve machine utilization and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
4. Coordinate with maintenance teams to reduce downtime.

Cost Reduction

1. Identify opportunities for cost and efficiency improvements.

• Material savings

• Energy efficiency

1. Develop projects to improve manufacturing costs and profitability.

Data Analysis

1. Collect and analyze manufacturing data.
2. Monitor key manufacturing KPIs.

• Yield
• Scrap Rate
• OEE

• Productivity
• Downtime

1. Prepare reports and present improvement results to management.

Safety & Compliance

1. Ensure manufacturing processes comply with applicable requirements.

• Safety regulations
• Environmental requirements
• Quality standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485, etc.)

1. Participate in risk assessments and safety audits.

Education and experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or production support.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing, PCBA, or Box Build production.
• Fresh graduates with relevant technical knowledge are encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and improve manufacturing processes to enhance quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Hands-on experience with continuous improvement initiatives and data-driven problem-solving methodologies.
• Knowledge of manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, FPY, yield, cycle time, and throughput.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of SMT and PCBA manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of electronic components and PCB assembly.
• Basic equipment troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read Work Instructions (WI), Process Flow Charts, Engineering Drawings, and BOM (Bill of Materials).
• Familiarity with ESD control requirements.
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards is an advantage.
