Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Intern role based in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The intern will support cybersecurity projects by assisting with security monitoring, data collection, and basic analysis under the guidance of senior team members. Day-to-day tasks may include helping with documentation, preparing reports, updating internal knowledge bases, and supporting operations in areas such as SOC activities, risk assessments, or engineering tasks. The role involves collaborating with different teams, learning company tools and methodologies, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The intern is expected to demonstrate curiosity, professionalism, and a strong interest in cybersecurity and emerging technologies.
Qualifications

• Strong interest in cybersecurity, including areas such as security operations, risk management, and cyber resilience.
• Basic understanding of IT fundamentals (networks, operating systems, cloud concepts) and willingness to learn security tools and frameworks.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in reviewing data, logs, and documentation.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare simple reports and collaborate with team members.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to work on-site full-time in Kuala Lumpur, manage tasks responsibly, and adapt to a fast-changing technology environment.
• Familiarity with basic cybersecurity concepts (e.g., threats, vulnerabilities, incident response) is an advantage.
• Exposure to scripting or programming, security tools, or post-quantum cryptography concepts is a plus but not required.
