ob Title: Engineer – Power Grid Works

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Engineer – Power Grid Works to support the execution, supervision, and maintenance of electrical power grid infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring that all engineering works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, approved drawings, quality standards, and relevant electrical regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate power grid electrical installation and construction works.
• Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate substation, transmission line, distribution network, and electrical equipment installation works, as applicable.
• Monitor project progress, manpower, materials, and equipment requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams to resolve technical issues.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.
• Coordinate electrical testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with permit-to-work procedures, risk assessments, and electrical safety regulations.
• Prepare daily progress reports, inspection records, testing reports, and as-built documentation.
• Support troubleshooting, defect rectification, and project handover activities.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Relevant experience in electrical infrastructure, power grid, substation, transmission, or distribution projects is preferred.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and safety procedures.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Willingness to work at project sites and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
