Our client is from the Insurance Industry, located in the CBD.

The Head of Technology is responsible for shaping and executing the company's technology vision, ensuring that infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with business objectives. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a member of the senior leadership team, this role drives technology governance, operational excellence, and digital transformation initiatives across the organization.

Working closely with the Head of Applications, the Head of Technology will ensure seamless integration between enterprise platforms, applications, and infrastructure while supporting business growth through innovation and technology enablement.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Strategy & Leadership

Develop and implement the organization's technology roadmap to support current and future business objectives.

Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team on technology-related matters.

Establish and maintain enterprise technology architecture, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient technology ecosystems.

Drive technology governance, operational best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing technology and infrastructure team.

Manage technology budgets, resource planning, and vendor relationships to maximize value and performance.

Infrastructure, Cloud & Operations

Oversee the design, management, and optimization of the Microsoft Azure cloud environment and related infrastructure.

Ensure enterprise systems are resilient, secure, highly available, and scalable.

Lead networking, identity and access management, endpoint management, and collaboration platforms.

Develop and maintain disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity strategies.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

Own the organization's cybersecurity strategy, framework, and operational controls.

Oversee security operations, vulnerability assessments, risk mitigation, and incident response activities.

Promote cybersecurity awareness and best practices across all business functions.

Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and governance requirements.

Enterprise Platforms & Systems Integration

Provide strategic oversight of enterprise platforms, including Microsoft 365, Salesforce, SAP Business One, and other critical business systems.

Partner with application and business teams to establish secure, scalable, and efficient system integrations.

Define integration standards, data governance policies, and enterprise architecture principles to ensure seamless data flow across platforms.

Innovation & Digital Transformation

Evaluate, recommend, and implement emerging technologies that enhance business performance and customer experience.

Champion the adoption of AI, automation, and digital solutions that improve operational efficiency and support future growth.

Drive a culture of innovation while balancing risk, governance, and business value realization
