Position:
Safety Officer
Location:
GreenfieldConstruction Site at Tuas Area, Singapore
Employment Type:
Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and enforce workplace safety practices across all site activities, with a strong focus on
electrical installation works
.
Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards, unsafe practices, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Develop, implement, and monitor safety procedures in line with
WSH Act, MOM regulations, and company policies
.
Lead toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and training sessions for workers and subcontractors.
Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective/preventive measures.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to integrate safety into work planning and execution.
Maintain accurate safety documentation, permits, and audit records.
Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related discipline.
WSH Officer registration with MOM
(mandatory).
Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction safety, preferably with exposure to
electrical installation projects
.
Strong knowledge of electrical hazards, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and safe work practices.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to engage a diverse workforce.
Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced site environment.
Preferred Attributes
Prior experience in greenfield projects.
Familiarity with ISO 45001 and risk management frameworks.
Multilingual ability (English + Mandarin/Tamil/Bengali) for effective communication with foreign workers.
