Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile professional to join our team as a 3rd Officer, 3rd Engineer, and Dredger Operator on a specialized dredger vessel. This multifaceted role requires a strong understanding of both deck and engine room operations, coupled with expert proficiency in operating various dredging equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the vessel, its machinery, and the dredging process, adhering to all international maritime regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• As 3rd Officer:
• Stand navigational watch as per STCW regulations, ensuring safe passage and compliance with collision regulations.
• Assist the Master in voyage planning, chart corrections, and maintaining navigational equipment.
• Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of all life-saving and fire-fighting appliances.
• Conduct safety inspections and drills, ensuring crew preparedness for emergencies.
• Maintain accurate ship's logs and records related to navigation and safety.
• Assist with cargo operations, specifically related to the loading and discharge of dredged material.
• As 3rd Engineer:
• Stand engine room watch, monitoring and operating main propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on marine engines, generators, pumps, and other mechanical systems.
• Assist with bunkering operations and manage fuel and lubricant inventories.
• Ensure compliance with MARPOL regulations concerning pollution prevention and waste management.
• Maintain accurate engine room logs and records of machinery performance and maintenance.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of dredging equipment's hydraulic and power systems.
• As Dredger Operator:
• Operate and monitor all dredging equipment, including suction pipes, cutter heads, pumps, winches, and control systems.
• Execute dredging plans efficiently, ensuring accurate depth and material removal according to project specifications.
• Monitor and adjust dredging parameters to optimize performance and minimize environmental impact.
• Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on dredging machinery and associated gear.
• Report any malfunctions or damage to dredging equipment promptly to the Chief Engineer or Master.
• Ensure the stability and trim of the vessel during dredging operations, especially during material loading and discharge.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations specific to dredging operations.
• Collaborate effectively with the bridge and engine room teams to ensure seamless operations.
