Key Roles and Responsibilities: Business Development Manager, ThinkEdge Portfolio Solutions-Lenovo OEM, GTAP Region

In this new & strategic position, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving business across Lenovo’s portfolio of ThinkEdge PC’s & Solutions for GTAP market. Reporting to the Asia Pacific OEM Leader, She /He will be working in close collaboration with Lenovo AP OEM Resources – OEM Sales, OEM Solution Architects, OEM Vertical BDM, OEM Services Lead & OEM Marketing Lead.

Job Summary:

• Understand Lenovo’s ThinkEdge Computing solutions and enable Customers in their Edge / IIoT journey by bringing the right Edge Compute capabilities
• Position Lenovo ThinkEdge Computing portfolio across key verticals-Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Utilities, Energy, Oil & Gas, Retail, Healthcare and Transport & Logistics
• Build Strong Pipeline and create a strategy to forecast accurately on both Strategic & Tactical opportunities on ThinkEdge devices, Edge & AI solutions
• Drive ISV initiatives in building replicable and scalable Designs incorporating Lenovo ThinkEdge PC’s to address high ROI use cases for OEM customers
• Lead the engagement with Principal OEM’s – Intel / NVIDIA / AI Accelerators / MLSOC Players in GTAP region for Joint GTM on Packaging ThinkEdge solutions & integrating connectivity layer
• Collaborate with Product Lifecycle and Engineering teams to understand Roadmap & enhancements and future integration of OT communication protocols
• Own & Operationalize GTAP Edge STAMP. Forecast Supply & Demand & run GTAP ThinkEdge P&L in collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams
• Work closely with Channel Partners to create an ecosystem of Edge Accelerators inclusive of Sensors, Device Management Platform, Security Layer, Solution accelerators from ISV’s, OT Vendors and Service providers
• Add Value to OEM & Segment Sales/Pre-Sales teams by creating awareness on Lenovo’s ThinkEdge solutions and lead branding initiatives - Building Collaterals, Whitepapers & Case Studies
• Work with Hyper Scale Cloud Service Providers to address Cloud Stack Edge and IIoT opportunities through ThinkEdge PC’s
• Facilitate ThinkEdge Workshops/Webinars for internal teams and Customers / Partners
Interface with all levels of organization including Leadership, Press and Industry analysts

Requirements

• Worked with Tier 1/2 IT Infrastructure OEM’s to address IoT, AI & Edge opportunities in SEA region including Korea and ANZ
• Minimum 10 years OT/IoT related solution experience in sales or presales and AI applications exposure
• Able to relate to OEM’s nature of business and position Lenovo Edge computing Solutions as integral part of Customer’s / Partner’s Product Designs
• Able to adapt to Lenovo Culture and incorporate FUPAN & STAMP effectively
• Understand overall workflow of IIoT Platforms, initiate certifications of ThinkEdge Devices on key Platform players (Intel Edge AI / ABB/ Yokogawa / Schneider / Bosch etc) and collaborate to address large bids/tenders
• Prior experience in addressing Industrial Automation customers is an added advantage
• Has Strong connects within the IIoT ecosystem in the defined region
• The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, adaptable, articulate, driven and passionate about their work and have an entrepreneurial spirit
• Must be a Team Player and display Ownership of Business
