Responsibilities

Customer Engagement

• Greet customers and assess needs to match them with the right gadget and accessories.
• Run short, friendly product demonstrations that focus on benefits and safe handling.
• Answer common questions clearly and route technical queries to the right team.
• Collect customer feedback and share trends with store or regional leads.

Sales & Merchandising

• Set up and refresh product displays to highlight promotions and new arrivals.
• Drive daily sales targets through active selling and suggestive add-ons.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) and process simple transactions accurately.
• Monitor stock on the sales floor and report low inventory to store staff.

Reporting & Store Support

• Record daily sales activities and customer enquiries using simple spreadsheets or digital forms.
• Assist with stock counts and help receive deliveries when required.
• Follow store opening and closing procedures and maintain a tidy demo area.
• Coordinate short local promotions and set up promotional materials as instructed.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of retail or on-ground sales experience, ideally in electronics or consumer gadgets.
• Comfortable working shifts, weekends, and public holidays as retail schedules require.
• Certificate or equivalent in retail, sales, or relevant short courses is a plus but not mandatory.
• Reference from previous retail or sales role preferred.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Practical experience with POS systems and basic cash handling procedures.
• Familiarity with merchandising principles and product display setup.
• Basic spreadsheet skills for daily reporting and simple stock checks.
• Product knowledge development mindset, ready to learn technical specs and translate them simply.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Friendly and approachable with clear spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia for customer interactions.
• Confident communicator who can present a product in under two minutes.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain energy during long shifts.
• Team player who accepts direction and adapts quickly to store priorities.
