About Us
Bites&Brews (our restaurant brand) is a vibrant Western restaurant located in the Joo Chiat area of Singapore (nearest MRT: Paya Lebar), known for creative Western comfort food with Asian twists. We are looking for a motivated Junior / Commis Chef to join our kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards.
Handle daily mise en place, food preparation and cooking during service.
Maintain consistent food quality, taste and presentation.
Ensure cleanliness, proper food storage and food safety standards.
Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Assist with stock management and minimize food wastage.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of kitchen experience, preferably in Western restaurants, cafés or bistros.
Good knowledge of Western cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
Able to work independently at assigned kitchen stations.
Responsible, hardworking and a good team player.
Able to work on weekends and public holidays.
Basic food hygiene knowledge; Singapore Food Safety Course Level 1 certification is an advantage.
