Job Purpose

Lead and drive Sun Life Malaysia's digital distribution strategy to expand insurance sales and customer acquisition through digital channels and ecosystems. The role is responsible for championing insurance distribution across the digital landscape, identifying new digital business opportunities and facilitate the delivery of digital initiatives, capabilities, and solutions that support business growth.

Major Accountabilities

Digital Distribution Strategy & Growth

• Develop and execute strategies that improve digital channel performance, productivity, and customer conversion.
• Drive digital business growth by expanding digital distribution capabilities, customer acquisition opportunities, and advisor productivity.
• Identify and implement innovative digital initiatives that strengthen competitive positioning and support long-term business growth.

Digital Transformation & Distribution Enablement

• Champion end-to-end digital transformation across the advisor and customer journey, including marketing, recruitment, onboarding, sales, servicing, and administrative processes.
• Drive the delivery of digital solutions that enhance operational efficiency, improve customer experience, and increase distribution effectiveness.
• Act as the key business representative and liaison with the Digital Enablement team to ensure timely delivery of digital initiatives and capabilities supporting distribution objectives.

Digital Adoption & Capability Development

• Lead the adoption and utilization of digital platforms and tools across Distribution channels to drive productivity, engagement, and business outcomes.
• Promote a digital-first culture by advocating the benefits and value of digital solutions to advisors, leaders, and key stakeholders.
• Ensure digital capabilities such as sales enablement, recruitment, learning, and customer engagement platforms are effectively embedded into business practices.

Innovation & Ecosystem Expansion

• Explore and develop new digital business models, partnerships, and ecosystem collaborations to diversify distribution channels and unlock new growth opportunities.
• Identify opportunities in embedded insurance, digital ecosystems, platform partnerships, and emerging distribution models.
• Stay abreast of market developments, InsurTech innovations, and emerging technologies to shape Sun Life Malaysia's digital distribution strategy and future business direction.

Governance & Strategic Oversight

• Ensure all digital distribution initiatives comply with regulatory requirements, governance standards, and risk management frameworks.
• Provide strategic guidance and regular updates to senior leadership on digital transformation progress, business outcomes, and emerging opportunities.

Qualification and experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Technology, Insurance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in digital distribution, digital business development, insurance, banking, fintech, or financial services.
• Strong understanding of digital customer journeys, digital commerce, ecosystem partnerships, and technology-enabled distribution.
• Proven experience in leading cross-functional initiatives involving business and technology teams.
• Experience in life insurance and digital distribution channels is preferred.
