What we’re looking for

• Diploma or degree in culinary arts, food science, nutrition, design or a related field. Strong portfolios from other backgrounds are welcome
• A creative eye and an interest in food styling
• Understanding of what appeals to children and what parents expect
• Awareness of food safety standards and portion control
• Basic design or photo skills (Canva, Photoshop or similar) are a plus
• Able to work with a kitchen team and within cost and time limits
• Please share a portfolio or photos of past food or design work
• Must be eligible to work in Singapore. Malaysian graduates are welcome to apply

About us
Empress Family Feast serves families across Singapore. Our kids’ meal bentos need to be nutritious and fun enough that children eat them, and attractive enough that parents keep subscribing.

The role
You will design our children’s bento meals from start to finish. That covers the concept, the menu theme, the look of the bento and the way it is assembled. You will work with our kitchen team to turn your ideas into meals that can be made consistently, at volume, every day.

What you’ll do

• Plan and design kids’ bento concepts and seasonal or themed menus
• Create bento layouts, food styling and plating guides that the kitchen can replicate
• Work with chefs to test designs for taste, portion size, cost and speed of assembly
• Make sure designs suit children’s tastes and nutrition needs, including allergen awareness
• Produce simple visual guides and reference photos for kitchen staff
• Contribute ideas for the marketing team, such as photos and content showing off the bentos
• Gather feedback from families and refine the designs
