Business Development Manager (Japanese Speaking)

We’re partnering with a well-established company in Malaysia that is looking for a relationship-driven Manager to lead its growth in the Japanese market.

• Lead business development and client acquisition across Japan
• Build and nurture relationships with families, partners and corporate clients
• Run seminars, visits, fairs and events
• Host Japanese clients and partners and give them a standout experience
• Oversee digital campaigns, social media and PR, working with an in-house team
• Track the pipeline and report results in the CRM
• Work closely with senior leadership on market strategy

What we’re looking for

• 4-5 years of experience in business development, marketing, education or another relationship-led sector (education, travel, hospitality and premium services backgrounds are all welcome)
• Japanese at N1 level and strong English
• Confidence presenting to both small groups and large audiences
• CRM experience and a head for organization, since you’ll juggle multiple events at once
• Cultural fluency and an understanding of Japanese etiquette
• A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset
