Audit Director, Artificial Intelligence (AI) – Singapore

Job Summary

Lead the independent assurance of AI risks across technology and operations within a global financial institution. The role focuses on AI governance, model risk management, data integrity, AI security and the safe adoption of emerging technologies, including Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead AI risk assessments, audit planning and portfolio management.

• Oversee AI governance, model risk, data quality, bias, explainability and AI security reviews.

• Assess AI development, deployment, validation and monitoring controls.

• Provide independent challenge and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

• Lead and develop teams, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

• Monitor emerging AI risks and evolving regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in technology, data, AI or related senior roles within a regulated environment.

• Strong knowledge of AI/ML lifecycle management, AI governance and model risk.

• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs and AI-related risks.

• Proven leadership and senior stakeholder management experience.

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline.

• AI governance or model risk certifications are advantageous.

• Candidates from technology, data, AI development or AI risk management backgrounds are preferred. Internal audit experience is not required.
