Job Description:

We are an established plantation company in Johor. We are looking for an Accounts Executive to take charge of our costing and budgeting work, reporting to the Senior Accounts Manager.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys understanding why costs move, not only recording them. You will work closely with our estate and operations colleagues, and your analysis will go to senior management.

THE ROLE

• Prepare and coordinate the annual budget, working with operations to agree the underlying assumptions.
• Maintain cost records and cost classifications so that reporting is accurate and consistent.
• Prepare monthly budget against actual analysis, with clear commentary on the main movements.
• Report unit costs and support management with the cost information behind operational decisions.
• Assist with cost verification, statements and related schedules.
• Support ad hoc costing assignments and improvement projects as required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Accounting or Finance, or a professional qualification. Part-qualified candidates are welcome.

• At least three years of relevant experience, with a focus on costing or management accounting.
• Experience preparing budgets and explaining variances.
• Good Excel skills and comfortable working with accounting systems.
• Able to work to month-end deadlines and to communicate clearly with non-finance colleagues.
• Willing to travel to our sites within Johor from time to time.

AN ADVANTAGE

• Background in Plantation, agriculture, or manufacturing.
• Exposure to variance analysis in an operational environment.
• Experience improving cost reporting or reviewing cost classifications.

A strong candidate from a manufacturing costing background who has not worked in plantation will be considered. The industry can be learned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month

• Skudai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• Diploma/Advanced Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:

• Accounts department: 3 years (Preferred)

Language:

• Mandarin (Preferred)
