Process field claims in a timely manner and support effective resolution.
Drive customer issue resolution through claims management process, including root cause analysis, containment, corrective actions and quality controls improvement to prevent recurrence and improve detection effectiveness.
Work with regional Technical Product Managers and cross-functional teams to resolve field claims through failure analysis, product inspection and site visits.
Support PV system performance and energy-yield investigations using PVsyst and field data as a secondary part of the role. Develop PVsyst capability to perform standard simulations and support customer performance investigations under the established technical review process.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Manage field claims from intake to closure through technical investigation and assessment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in failure analysis, containment and corrective actions.
Provide timely engineering insights through technical reports and presentation.
Handle customer visits, audits and site investigations when required.
Develop and contribute to knowledge of product reliability and degradation.
Design or support tests to detect infant-mortality and mid-life product failures
Evaluate field performance against expected energy yield where relevant to claim or technical investigation.
Build and maintain documentation for standard PVsyst models, loss diagrams and basic sensitivity assessments to support customer-quality conclusions.
Energy Yield: Basic understanding of PV systems, irradiance, temperature effects, system losses and performance indicators; competent in PVsyst.
Analytical & Problem Solving: Engineering judgement and use of quality tools such as 5 Whys, 8D, CAPA or DMAIC.
Soft Skills: Project and experimental planning, product testing, report writing, teamwork and clear communication.
Additional Responsibilities
Support internal knowledge sharing on field failures, degradation and energy-yield findings.
Authorities
Coordinate assigned customer-quality investigations and request the information required for evidence-based analysis.
Recommend containment, corrective action, testing or escalation based on verified findings.
Request clarification or correction where simulation or monitoring inputs are incomplete or inconsistent.
Issue external technical conclusions only through the applicable REC review and approval process.
Qualifications
Minimum bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Renewable Energy, Physics or a related engineering/science discipline.
Entry level and candidates with up to 2 years of relevant work experience are encouraged to apply.
Academic projects, internships or work involving solar PV, product reliability, failure analysis, engineering testing, system simulation or data analysis are advantageous.
Other Information
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Basic capability in engineering data analysis, problem solving and technical documentation.
Exposure to PVsyst, Aurora, HelioScope, MATLAB, Python, Power BI, GIS or CAD is advantageous but not mandatory.
Familiarity with statistical analysis, SAP, Toyota Production System or Lean Manufacturing principles is advantageous.
Active participation in technical reviews to support business and customer outcomes.
Sense of urgency, ownership and self-motivation.
Hands-on and proactive working attitude with good time management.
Learning agility and commitment to develop PVsyst capability within 6 to 12 months.
Willing to travel and able to work under tight timelines when required.
Strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, customers, external stakeholders and auditors.
Ability to explain findings through clear presentations and technical reports.
No formal people-management experience required.
Active participation in team and cross-functional activities.
Plan and complete assigned claim, investigation, test and simulation deliverables in accordance with agreed timelines and review gates.
Experience in solar, semiconductor, electronics or manufacturing industries is advantageous but not required.
Good spoken and written English; proficiency in a second or third language is advantageous.
Final-year project, internship or portfolio involving solar PV, reliability, testing or engineering analytics is advantageous.
