What The Role Is
In this role, you will work with industry partners and stakeholders to foster professional excellence in Accountancy and Business Valuation. As part of the Professional Capability Development Department (PCDD), you will shape policies, chart and implement strategies and initiatives that enhance the relevance and recognition of professional qualifications, improve pathways into the professions, and develop sustainable talent pipelines for the Accountancy and Business Valuation professions.
What You Will Be Working On
- Work with industry stakeholders to develop and implement initiatives to enhance the value proposition and build awareness of Accountancy and Business Valuation careers among students and working professionals.
- Work closely with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) to oversee the administration, quality and continued relevance of the Singapore Chartered Accountant Qualification (SCAQ).
- Develop sectoral partnerships with relevant agencies, Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), Accredited Training Organisations (ATOs), Registered Learning Organisations (RLOs) and employers to promote the SCAQ and broaden pathways into the Accountancy profession, including for non-accountancy graduates and graduates from polytechnics and the Institute of Technical Education (ITE).
- Support the Institute of Valuers and Appraisers Singapore (IVAS) in strengthening awareness and recognition of the Chartered Valuer and Appraiser (CVA) designation. This includes working with regulators, businesses, educational institutions and professional bodies to develop outreach initiatives and materials, broaden IVAS’ membership base, build a pipeline of prospective candidates and support enrolment in the CVA programme locally and internationally.
- Manage partnership agreements, monitor stakeholders’ performance against agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and provide analysis and regular updates to senior management.
- Provide secretariat support to relevant councils and committees, where required.
