Hiring: Reporting Finance Analyst | Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

We are looking for a Reporting Finance Analyst to join the Global Finance Controllership Team in Kuala Lumpur.

Job type: 6 Month contract-Extendable based on performance

Experience

3–5 years in Finance / Accounting, preferably within Shared Services / GBS / Finance Operations

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Reconcile financial reports across multiple systems and investigate discrepancies.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and post manual journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Perform monthly and quarterly analysis of key account movements.
• Support the Treasury team with foreign currency exposure analysis and hedging activities.
• Support month-end and quarter-end closing and reporting activities.
• Contribute to process simplification and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across centralized finance functions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant Finance/Accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting and Analysis.
• Good understanding of IFRS / GAAP.
• Hands-on experience with SAP or Oracle.
• Experience with HFM / Hyperion Financial Management.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Good to Have

• ACCA / CPA / CIMA qualification.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
• Experience in Shared Services / Global Business Services (GBS).
• Experience with audit / professional services firms.
