Technical Responsibilities
Perform inspection, testing, diagnosis and troubleshooting of heavy vehicles, including lorries, trucks and tankers.
Carry out preventive maintenance, servicing and repair activities in accordance with approved maintenance schedules.
Diagnose mechanical or vehicle-related issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Verify that repair and maintenance work complies with applicable regulatory codes, technical specifications, safety requirements and company procedures.
Conduct post-repair checks and testing to ensure vehicles are suitable for operation.
Maintain accurate maintenance-related records where required.
Safety & Workplace Standards
Maintain a high standard of workplace safety, cleanliness and housekeeping.
Follow established workshop safety procedures and applicable operational requirements.
Report safety concerns, equipment issues and vehicle defects promptly.
Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance practices and workshop operations.
Requirements
Valid Class 3 driving licence.
Forklift licence/certification would be an advantage, where applicable to the job.
Basic proficiency in English sufficient to understand technical instructions and workplace documentation.
1–2 years of relevant experience in automotive servicing, heavy vehicle maintenance or repair.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose issues, solve technical problems and recommend practical improvements.
Willingness to undertake ongoing learning relevant to vehicle maintenance and repair.
Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and comply with required safety and quality standards.
Willingness to work outdoors and at operational sites as required.
