Mission / Purpose of the Position

This UI Developer role focuses on the front-end side of applications developed internally in CTOS. The UI

Developer is expected to maintain and enhance existing web front ends built using NextJS / Angular, and may also be required to maintain mobile applications written in Flutter. There is an ongoing standardization effort to bring all applications up to date using NextJS.

As part of our Software Development team, the role focuses on developmental work as well as ongoing internal and external technical support. This position requires critical thinking and innovative problem- solving skills, with an emphasis on bringing new ideas to life through application development. This role involves substantial brainstorming, teamwork, and knowledge sharing.

Main Tasks Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

 Work closely with system analysts to develop front ends according to requirements and functional specifications.

 Upgrade and maintain technical specifications, and perform code commits and merging in

GitLab/SVN.

 Prepare unit and integration tests for Sonar/GitLab and scheduled automation procedures.

 Conduct peer reviews and share knowledge on coding practices and the latest technology stacks.

 Maintain systems once they are up and running.

 Build, test, and support various applications as per the business support department's requests.

 Execute all system feature deployments and monitor successful integration, maintaining the system throughout its lifecycle.

 Use Jira as the tracking tool for development and other support linked to GitLab.

 Perform proper testing, post-deployment application monitoring, and issue troubleshooting.

 Implement solutions matching back to specifications, learn new technology, and conduct proper R&D when needed.

 Focus primarily on the implementation of Web and Mobile User Interfaces.

Education / Certification

 Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.

Professional Experience

Required Experience & Skills:

 Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

 Strong proficiency in HTML and NodeJS-based technologies.

 Familiarity with NextJS with a deep understanding of Server-Side Rendering (SSR).

 Familiarity with ReactJS or Angular is considered.

 CSS expertise, including standard CSS and TailwindCSS.

 Thorough understanding of Component-Based UI Development.

 Familiarity with TypeScript.

 Familiarity with Flutter for mobile application development.

 Experience with testing tools such as Jest or Playwright.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

 Familiarity with secure coding tools like SonarQube / GitLab SAST.

 Ability to write secure code adhering to OWASP Top 10 best practices.

 Ability to accurately translate UI designs into clean code.

 Strong familiarity with Web Design best practices.

 Active involvement in projects requiring system development using NextJS and Flutter.

 Ability to utilize caching engines such as REDIS or Memcached.

Project and/or Process Experience

 Working with peer developers on the development and enhancement of front-end and mobile

applications.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
