• Test sockets: the interface that holds an IC package and connects it electrically to the tester during final test.

Job Summary

As a Sales Engineer at Yokowo Singapore, you will provide on-site technical support for semiconductor test products, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate with customers and engineering teams to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support to ensure optimal performance and correct usage of Yokowo test sockets and pogo pins on customer test floors
• Set up, evaluate, and assist with new product installations, routine maintenance, and drawing simulations to support customer operations
• Troubleshoot test-floor issues promptly and respond to urgent calls to minimize production line downtime
• Collect and analyze field data on yield, defects, and product performance across different test handlers to inform improvements
• Report customer requirements, feedback, and claims to Yokowo engineers to drive continuous product enhancements
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support sales and identify new business opportunities
• Communicate effectively with Head Office engineers in Japan, translating technical reports between customers and internal teams

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering field
• Working knowledge of Japanese (JLPT N2 or equivalent preferred) and proficiency in written and spoken English
• Hands-on experience working on production or test floors, with willingness to travel regularly to customer sites and respond to urgent calls
• Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work independently with limited supervision
• 1–3 years of experience in semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, or test engineering preferred; fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude considered with full product training provided
• Advantageous experience includes cleanroom or test-floor work, customer support, Failure Analysis (FA), Quality Assurance (QA), and knowledge of test handlers, ATE, or load boards

• Basic salary SGD 4,000 – 5,000 per month, based on experience
