About the role

Lap Kei Engineering Company Ltd is seeking a Draftsman - E&M Company to join our Engineering Drafting team. This is a full-time position based in Kowloon Bay, Kwun Tong District . As a Draftsman, you will play a crucial role in translating engineering concepts and designs into precise technical drawings and documentation. You will be responsible for creating detailed drafts for electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. This position is integral to our project delivery process and directly supports our engineers and project teams in bringing complex designs to life.

Key responsibilities:
Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications for electrical and mechanical systems using CAD software and drafting tools

Convert engineering sketches, designs and specifications into accurate, professional-quality working drawings

Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness and compliance with design standards and regulatory requirements

Collaborate with engineers and project managers to clarify design intent and resolve technical issues

Maintain and update drawing libraries, documentation systems and technical records

Ensure all drawings are properly labelled, dimensioned and annotated according to company standards and industry codes

Produce drawing schedules, bill of materials and other supporting documentation as required

Support the modification and revision of existing designs to meet project requirements and client specifications

Communicate effectively with project teams to ensure timely delivery of drafting outputs

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Draftsman or in a similar engineering drafting role, ideally within electrical and mechanical (E&M) disciplines

Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit or equivalent industry-standard drafting tools

Strong knowledge of engineering drawing standards, conventions and best practices

Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality technical drawings

Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, components and assemblies

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Good communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work collaboratively with engineers and other team members

Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in engineering drafting or a related discipline
