About the Company

Our client is a well-established, Singapore-based strategic investment platform that backs both global leaders and high-potential local startups. Beyond capital, they offer portfolio companies deep networks and hands-on expertise to help them scale regionally and globally. Their investment focus spans high-growth sectors including the Digital Economy, Green and Bio-Economy, Next-Gen Hardware, and Healthcare.

They are now looking for an Investment Manager to join their early-stage team, with a focus on Software and AI.

What You'll Be Doing

Working alongside senior members of the investment team, you will:

• Source and originate deals: Track and analyse emerging technology and innovation trends to uncover investment opportunities. Build your own proprietary deal flow by developing relationships across the local and global startup ecosystem, going beyond existing channels.
• Lead due diligence: Evaluate the commercial potential of investment targets, weighing risk-reward scenarios alongside strategic and financial factors. Structure deals and negotiate terms in partnership with Legal and Corporate Finance, and help prepare investment memos and Investment Committee presentations.
• Drive portfolio value: Monitor and support portfolio companies on corporate actions and strategy execution to grow enterprise value. Where relevant, collaborate with partner teams on business development, branding and market awareness.
• Support corporate strategy: Contribute to senior management’s work on overall strategy and internal processes.

What We Look For In You

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science or Engineering, ideally in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• At least 4 years of investment experience, OR at least 8 years of research or industry experience in deep tech (exceptional candidates without prior investment experience are welcome to apply)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of presenting complex technical topics to senior stakeholders
• A collaborative team player who can juggle multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced setting

• Proven ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-scaling environments with a high degree of ownership
• Genuine curiosity about software and AI, both the technology and the market
• Strong technical understanding of software development and the AI technology stack
• Hands-on experience designing and running software systems that incorporate AI, whether professionally or in personal projects
• Experience taking technology from prototype to product, with a strong end-user focus
