Procurement Manager

A Procurement Manager oversees the entire purchasing process, ensuring that goods and services are acquired at the best value while maintaining compliance with company policies and tender regulations. This role is strategic, involving supplier management, tender administration, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy

Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures.

Align procurement activities with organizational goals and budgets.

Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Tender Management

Prepare tender documents, specifications, and evaluation criteria.

Coordinate tender processes including RFQ (Request for Quotation), RFP (Request for Proposal), and ITQ (Invitation to Quote).

Evaluate bids, negotiate contracts, and recommend suppliers.

Ensure transparency, fairness, and compliance with tender regulations.

Supplier & Vendor Relations

Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers.

Negotiate pricing, terms, and service-level agreements.

Monitor supplier performance and resolve disputes.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure adherence to procurement laws, company policies, and industry standards.

Maintain accurate procurement records for audit purposes.

Mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions and vendor reliability.

Team Leadership

Supervise and mentor procurement and QS staff.

Allocate tasks, review performance, and provide training.

Promote best practices in procurement and tender management.

Typical Qualifications

Education: Degree in Supply Chain, Business, QS, or related field.

Experience: 7–10 years in procurement, with strong tender management experience.

Skills:

Expertise in tender processes and contract law.

Strong negotiation and analytical skills.

Proficiency in ERP/procurement systems

Leadership and stakeholder management abilities.

Pay: $4,000.00 - $5,500.00 per month
