Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical strategy, architecture, design, and implementation of AML platforms and related banking solutions.

• Oversee end-to-end integration of AML systems with core banking platforms, payment systems, and other enterprise applications.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and integration teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.

• Drive the implementation and enhancement of AML, Know Your Customer (KYC), and financial compliance solutions.

• Support integration of payment screening and monitoring systems, including cross-border and high-value payment processing.

• Ensure solutions meet security, scalability, performance, and regulatory compliance requirements.

• Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle, including solution design, testing, deployment, and production support.

• Conduct technical reviews, troubleshoot complex integration issues, and drive continuous improvement in system performance and reliability.

• Collaborate with regional stakeholders and geographically distributed teams to ensure successful delivery across multiple APAC markets.

• Manage technical relationships with platform vendors and external service providers to resolve issues and ensure successful implementation.

• Provide technical updates, project status reports, and recommendations to senior management.

• Mentor technical team members and promote engineering best practices, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of experience in IT, technology delivery, solution design, system integration, or implementation.

• At least 10 years of experience in international banking or financial services, preferably involving AML, KYC, and regulatory compliance.

• Strong hands-on experience in AML platform integration and implementation, preferably involving Firco solutions.

• Proven experience leading large-scale banking technology implementations across multiple markets.

• Strong understanding of cross-border payments, high-value transactions, payment processing, and financial messaging systems.

• Experience integrating AML platforms with core banking systems and payment applications.

• Good knowledge of enterprise architecture, application integration, APIs, microservices, and system design principles.

• Strong understanding of information security, technology risk, and regulatory requirements within the banking industry.

• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and collaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, and senior management.

• Experience working with regional or geographically distributed teams, preferably across APAC.

• Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

• Proficiency in English.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in regional banking transformation programmes and multi-country AML platform implementations.

• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.

• Relevant enterprise architecture, banking technology, or AML platform certifications.
