Full Stack Engineer (Cloud-Native AWS Platform) - 2 Years Fixed Contract

About the Opportunity

My client, a well-established technology consulting and digital transformation company, is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join a large-scale modernization initiative. This role involves transforming legacy enterprise applications into modern, cloud-native platforms deployed on AWS.

This is an opportunity to work across the full technology stack, from frontend development and backend services to cloud infrastructure, DevOps, security integration, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and modernize enterprise applications using a cloud-native architecture.

• Build responsive web applications using React.js and TypeScript.

• Design and develop backend APIs and services using Golang and/or Kotlin.

• Containerize applications using Docker and deploy workloads on Kubernetes (EKS).

• Build and maintain secure AWS environments using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles.

• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.

• Implement authentication and authorization controls across applications.

• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, ensuring high availability and reliability.

• Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering best practices.

Mandatory Technical Skills

Candidates should possess hands-on experience in most of the following areas:

React.js

TypeScript

Golang and/or Kotlin

AWS Cloud Services

Docker

Kubernetes

CI/CD Pipelines

Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent)

RESTful APIs / Backend Development

Production Support & Troubleshooting

• GitLab CI/CD

• Microservices Architecture

• Cloud Migration / Legacy System Modernization

• Datadog, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana

• Security Integration (OIDC, SAML, OAuth)

• Authentication & Authorization Frameworks

• Enterprise-scale application development

Ideal Background

The successful candidate will likely have:

• 5+ years of Full Stack Engineering experience

• Strong experience across both frontend and backend development

• Proven AWS cloud deployment experience

• Hands-on Kubernetes and containerization expertise

• Experience modernizing legacy applications into modern cloud-native platforms

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in production environments
