Job Description
The 1D Bonder works under the guidance of a foreman or supervisor. The role involves assembling components, operating approved hand machinery, interpreting 1D drawings, and maintaining product quality, safety and a clean work environment to meet daily production targets.
Responsibilities
Job Description:
- Follow work orders and instructions from the foreman or supervisor
- Assemble components using hand tools, approved machinery and 1D bonder equipment
- Interpret 1D technical drawings to ensure correct part placement
- Meet daily production targets and adhere to the production schedule
- Inspect assembled parts for compliance with quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area, supporting 5S initiatives
- Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards or quality issues promptly
- Record production data and log any deviations accurately
- Wear required PPE and follow all company safety policies
- Assist teammates with tasks to ensure smooth workflow
Qualifications
Job Requirement:
- Minimum SPM or equivalent secondary education
- Bonder/Laminator certificate is an added advantage.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools
- Basic understanding of bonding and lamination processes.
- Ability to read and interpret simple 1D technical drawings
- Good hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Physically fit and able to work in production environment.
- Commitment to safety, quality and housekeeping standards
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Willingness to learn and develop assembly skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
