What you'll be doing
- Performing routine preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, machinery, and systems to minimise downtime and extend asset lifespan
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults and failures using appropriate testing equipment and diagnostic tools
- Repairing, replacing, and upgrading electrical components, wiring, motors, transformers, and control systems
- Conducting safety inspections and tests on electrical installations to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation for all work completed
- Responding promptly to emergency breakdowns and providing solutions to restore operational capability
- Collaborating with other maintenance team members and engineering staff to coordinate work schedules and share technical knowledge
- Advising on electrical safety protocols and best practices across the organization
- Identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings in electrical systems and maintenance processes
Job Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or building maintenance systems.
- Basic knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and fault finding.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic testing equipment.
- Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance is an advantage.
- Able to identify equipment faults and carry out basic repairs or replacements.
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and safe working practices.
