Head Chef (Bengali & Indian Fusion Cuisine)
Location: Near Sembawang Road
Salary: $6,000 - $9,000 per month (depending on experience)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen and drive our menu across Bengali, North Indian and South Indian cuisines, with room to develop fusion dishes. You will run the kitchen team and take charge of our catering and food subscription operations.

Job Scope

• Lead, train and schedule the kitchen team
• Prepare authentic Bengali dishes to a consistently high standard
• Prepare North Indian specialities, including naan and tandoori items
• Prepare South Indian favourites, including prata
• Create and develop new fusion dishes and menu items
• Plan and execute catering orders (small to large volumes)
• Manage food subscription meal plans (menu planning, batch production, consistency and timely delivery)
• Control food cost, portioning, wastage and ordering of ingredients
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and SFA/NEA standards

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Bengali cuisine
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Head Chef or Assistant Head Chef, leading a kitchen team
• Minimum 2 years of experience in catering
• Experience in food subscription / meal plan operations
• Proven skills in North Indian (naan, tandoor) and South Indian (prata) cooking
• Creative, adaptable, and open to fusion concepts
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and public holidays when required
• No degree or diploma required. Experience and skills matter most.
