Role: Machine Learning Research Scientist

About the Role

We are looking for experienced Machine Learning Research Scientists focused on experimental ML research rather than production ML engineering.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience designing research experiments, running benchmarks and ablation studies, analyzing model behavior, and conducting research in areas such as robustness, interpretability, evaluation, or statistical machine learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute rigorous machine learning research experiments.
• Develop and run benchmarks, baselines, and ablation studies.
• Evaluate model performance using statistically sound methodologies.
• Investigate model robustness, interpretability, generalization, and failure modes.
• Formulate research hypotheses and validate them experimentally.
• Conduct quantitative analysis of experimental results using Python and statistical methods.
• Compare models and methodologies using reproducible experimental frameworks.
• Document research findings, assumptions, limitations, and conclusions.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on ML research experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Master’s degree or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python and statistics.
• Hands-on experience conducting ML experiments and research.
• Experience with benchmarking and ablation studies.
• Strong understanding of statistical evaluation and experimental design.
• Experience in one or more areas such as:
• Robustness
• Interpretability
• Model evaluation
• Generalization
• Statistical machine learning
• Experimental ML research
• Active and credible professional LinkedIn profile.

Preferred Background

Research Scientist, ML Research Scientist, Applied Research Scientist, Researcher – Machine Learning, or Statistical ML Researcher.

Important: This is a research-focused position, not an ML Engineering role.
