Resident Technical Officer (RTO - Civil & Structural/Geotechnical)

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction works of complex projects including buildings, tunnels, deep excavations, and foundations to ensure compliance with design and safety standards
• Install and manage monitoring instruments and accurately collate monitoring data for project assessment
• Apply knowledge of statutory codes and site supervision requirements to enforce quality control and construction administration
• Prepare and submit detailed progress reports to track project milestones and issues
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records documenting work progress and compliance
• Proactively identify, resolve, and manage site issues to minimize delays and promote a collaborative team environment
• Adapt to shift work schedules to support continuous site operations

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical disciplines from a recognized Polytechnic or equivalent institution
• Accreditation by the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES)
• Valid Building Construction Supervisors Safety (BCSS) Course certificate

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience as an RTO supervising works of similar complexity
