We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Part Time Pet Groomer to join the team at Pawfect Pals. This is a part-time position based in the Ang Mo Kio North-East Region, offering flexibility for those looking to balance work with other commitments. As a Pet Groomer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the health, hygiene and appearance of our canine clients, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care and attention. Your work will directly contribute to the wellbeing of the animals in our care and enhance the experience of our valued customers.

Key responsibilities

• Bath, dry and groom dogs using appropriate techniques and equipment tailored to each individual animal's needs and coat type
• Trim and style dog coats according to breed standards and customer preferences
• Clean and maintain grooming equipment and facilities to ensure high standards of hygiene
• Handle and restrain dogs safely and compassionately during the grooming process
• Inspect dogs for signs of skin conditions, parasites or other health concerns and report findings to management
• Communicate with customers to understand their grooming requirements and provide professional recommendations
• Maintain accurate records of grooming services provided and any special notes about individual animals
• Adhere to health and safety protocols and animal welfare standards at all times

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a pet groomer or in a similar animal care role
• Strong knowledge of dog breeds, coat types and appropriate grooming techniques for each
• Excellent handling skills and the ability to work calmly and safely with animals of varying temperaments
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform grooming tasks, which can be physically demanding
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality grooming results
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers and team members
• A genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to treating all animals with care and respect
• Certification in pet grooming or relevant qualifications from recognised institutions (preferred)
• Flexibility to work part-time hours as required by the business
