Job Overview

Singasia Management Pte. Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Quantity Surveyor to support cost planning, budget management, tender preparation, and contract administration for construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to help ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets and contractual requirements.

The ideal candidate has strong numerical and analytical skills, good commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple project tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, quantity take-offs, bills of quantities, and project cost plans.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and tender documents to assess project requirements.
• Assist with tender preparation, bid evaluation, quotation comparisons, and procurement activities.
• Monitor project expenditure, budgets, cash flow, and cost variations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Evaluate progress claims, payment applications, variation orders, and subcontractor claims.
• Assist with contract administration and ensure relevant contractual documentation is maintained accurately.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams on cost-related matters.
• Identify potential cost risks and recommend practical cost-control measures.
• Prepare regular cost reports, financial summaries, and project documentation.
• Support final account preparation, project close-out, and reconciliation of costs.
• Ensure work is carried out in accordance with applicable contractual requirements, project procedures, and relevant Singapore regulations.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management is preferred.
• Good understanding of construction methods, cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant quantity surveying or project management software.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Knowledge of Singapore construction contracts and local industry practices is an advantage.
